Sr. Finance Center Supervisor
Description
Bachelors degree in Accountancy. Finance. or a related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required. Non-PA can be considered depending on relevant experience
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in Finance, Accounting, Audit or Tax, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior role
- Experience working in a multinational or Japanese company environment is a strong advantage
- Preferably with prior exposure to external or internal audit.
- knowledgeable in generally accepted accounting principles also known as Philippine Accounting Standards (PAS)
- Knowledgeable in PEZA policies and procedures affecting the accounting operation of a manufacturing business operations
- Knowledgeable in BIR rules and regulations governing manufacturing business operations
Key Functions and Responsibilities
Supervision and Team Leadership:
- Leads, coaches, and trains junior finance staff (finance assistants, officers).
- Oversees daily workflow, sets performance objectives, and conducts appraisals.
- Fosters a productive, compliant, and professional team environment.
Financial Reporting and Accounting Operations:
- Ensures accurate recording of financial transactions in ERP/accounting systems.
- Manages month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Oversees accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), cash flow management, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepares and presents financial reports to management and stakeholders.
Compliance and Internal Control:
- Ensures all financial transactions comply with organizational policies, donor regulations, and GAAP/IFRS standards.
- Establishes and monitors internal control procedures to safeguard assets.
- Coordinates with internal and external auditors to provide necessary documentation.
Budgeting and Analysis:
- Reviews budget vs. actuals (BvA) and assists in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
- Analyzes financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Provides financial advice to departments and non-finance staff.
General Operations:
- Oversees treasury functions, including cash management and foreign currency exchanges.
- Maintains document management and records retention policies.
- Often serves as a backup to the Finance Manager.
